MBP.com member, The Glove, has submitted a great charcoal drawing of the opening scene from Hall of Mirrors: Night Crossing, the story - and scene - that introduces Underwood and Flinch. I love the cat ;-)

Awesome
What a talented artist; this picture so reminds me of that scene. Because it's done in charcoal, it kinda has a "foggy" feel about it, too.
Foggy
Yes it does, doesn't it. It's foggin' brilliant ;-)
Atmospheric
Very nice pic and nice to see you have such a talented following here. Would be nice to see what pictures you paint of the scenes in your fans minds.
Trillianne xxxxx
That would be a 'crazy pic xx
it really would be a picture with a lot in it, Trilli or Mike

Imagry
The vision I have of the opening scenes is very movieish, leaf littered road through a tunnel of trees, thene there is the study - Somthing gothic with dark wood panelling.
Putting us three in a scene would have to be the resurection scene that is currently unfolding, love the idea of long hooded robes and the ceremony of it, would be good, faces hidden so you wouldn't know who else was there till hoods were brought down. As for the villa though I can't picture anything other than a spanish thing with covered teraces and a seperate garage and for some reason the image I have I can only see it as single story but in huge grounds, terraces running to the edge of a cliff that overlooks a village and the see, not touristy at all.
Shame I can't draw other than in my own mind LOL

Little question Mike
I know it is almost time for you vacation from the garden here and I hope you rest, relax and come back to us after your break refreshed (after all the story is getting juicy what with the impeding resurection of the master) but will we get just one more episode before you go or should I adjust my position and get comfy here on the cliff? No rush, just enquiring.

Coming Episodes
I think there will be about another three - five episodes before the end of 'Season / Part 1'.
During these I have a holiday I have to go on, so a mini-hiatus. Then after the season finale, a period of downtime to write and re-write the rest of the book. Then Season 2 begins later in the year. I have no idea how long the break will be because I want to not only finish the book, but also prepare Season / Part 1 (current podcast) for release as a print-on-demand paperback. None of that Amazon-rush nonsense, just a book for those who want it. It'll tide you over until Season / Part 2 begins. When it does, it'll run to the end of the book, which I expect will be some time in the middle of next year.
Then what? A sequel? Part 3? Part 4? Part 5? Only time will tell
Thank you ;-)
Print on demand book! Fantastic, Bennett for my collection, will definately tide me over, thank you, will get a copy for my friend too. You have no idea how much we appreciate the time you put in and share with us. I really hope you enjoy your well earned break, I hope you will keep popping on and let is know how you are getting on, us fans will keep speculating on possible twists of what we think may happen next and make you smile as you have done for us.
Thank you again

Can't wait for the print on demand...
I'm looking forward to it.
In the meantime: What will Underwood think of David's humanity, I wonder? I personally think that Underwood will like David more than he could ever like Lydia. I just hope David can survive Underwood's ruthlessness, at least he SEEMS pretty ruthless in the only two scenes in which we have heard him.
What's Underwood's love-life like? Who is the woman who engraved the watch and does he ever love again? Not looking for spoilers, but I am honestly dying to know.
david theories
Hey Yogi, I have theories on this too. I agree that I think think Underwood will like David, he has stood up to Lydia (who definately has some other motive for this other than a power trip) and is becoming more of what is expected as well as bringing his own quirks in, I think he will have a sharp learing curve on vamp etiquette and may even warm to the feeding side. I do think Underwood is more aware of what is going on than Lydia realises, he bay be sleeping but somehow I think his essence/spirit has been overseeing the situation and while David and the rest of us haven't seen it yet the Master has. Will be interesting to see what comes out and if/how Lydia getsd her 'just desserts'
You have my mind working overtime now Yogi

Love life Theories for the Master
I also have theories on this (probable from reading too many books)
I do beleive there is more to the engraving of the watch than meets the eye, I have several theories on this and Underwoods mystery woman
1 - Underwood would not have been born a vampire, would have had to have been turned, the watch was a gift from the Vampess who turned him and who he took as a mate/wife for a while but they grew bored of each other and parted comany, the Master however has always kept a place in his heart for her hence the sentimetal value of the watch being kept.
2 - Similar to 1 in the fact Underwood had to be turned but this woman was his mortal wife, she passed on and he couldn't cope, was almost killed by a vamp himself but somehow was taken pity on and allowed to live (or was punished by being given eternal life) - This may be too interveiw with a vampish
3 - Underwood sort out to become a vampire, to live forever and build his empire, he was going to feed from the woman but they fell in love, she accepted him for what he was but wanted to remain mortal and simply grew old and passed away but she was never forgotten.
4 - And this is the mad one, the woman was a Flinch and her being would have had something to do with the agreement made between the Master and the Flinch family (I have 2 sub-theories on this but this post will become too long if I go into them, will post them if anyone wants to hear them)
Sorry to say but I like to theorise on things and would love to read other peeps ideas.
Trillianne xxxxx
I have to know
what are your sub-theories Trillianne? I like the Flinch idea as that would explain the origins of the
agreement combined with your Theory number 2. Aside from Mike's wonderfil stories, I am also
entertained by you and Angel om this site. :>)
Sub-theories
Thank you for your comments, I am glad you enjoy reading our posts and like our ideas
You requested to here my sub-theories from point 4 so here goes.
4.1 - The woman was a maid of the lord as was her husband, they were faithfull and loyal and respectfull of how the Lord ran his house and in return they were well looked after. her husband fell ill and sadly passed and due to economic problems the Lord was forced to move on but did not want to leave his loyal staff in hardship so took her and her family with him, time passed and they became close and he was somewhat a father figure to the children as they grew. They fell in love but she was still concerned for her families future, the lord was besotted and wanted to put her mind at ease and so an agreement was formed regarding her eldest son and the family line from there. This pleased the woman and she agreed to the terms of what would be an ongoing arrangement and how the line was to be kept going.
4.2 - It is obvious that Underwood is a very intellegnt man and at one time was partner in a very successfull business, his partner was a Flinch, they were both happy, Underwood living the single life and Flinch being the family man and providing the best for his family, the business was not all roses or legal and a number heavies were employed to do the dirty work, the business begain to fail, Flinch lost his wife but still had his son and daughter. Underwood made a deal with another Vampire and sold the business from under Flinch whoes own health was deteriorating by now, Flinch begged him to get the business back so underwood tried but ended up being made into a vamp himself for his insolence, he returned to Flinch with the bad news but did not want his friend to suffer as a result of the mistake so an agreement was reached on a new partnership that would guarantee the family would never be short of anything if they helped him exist and he would eventually pay them back. In that time women were seen as a lower class so he took the daughter as a mate, his intention as he had no feelings for her was to be rid of her somehow but she proved herself by luring men in for him, the watch she stole from the first man she lured for him, she had it engraved some years later to give to underwood as a reminder of her loyalty to her family and her want to see the lord pay off his debt, she never got to give it to him as he killed her in a fit of rage one night for bringing him a drunk man who died before he could be drained. he found the watch with a note when he was disposing the body and kept it to remind him of the agreement.
I have other theories popping in all the time so if you like as they come to me I will post them for you to enjoy.
I personally like all my theories and think they are all possible, there is a third but I am formulating all the details of this one at the minute, this one will explain why Underwood always has the Finch men as his guardians.
Trillianne xxxxx
Woofboi thank you xx
Thank you woofboi, it's soooo lovely to be appreciated
You know what us Vampess are like

Your welcome
but it seems that I was a bit of a bad dog to ask for more theories from Trillianne because of the
legal. I have always seem to have my snout into something, oh well. But in that case, how about
an idea? Mike could do a related story with a Weredog and his sidekick/servant Cat. He could call it......
Underwoof & Fluff !!! Or maybe I had one too many pints this evening. I dunno.
WOOF!
Nice idea...
... but not right now, too busy with U&F.
Meanwhile, have a few Vampire Points to get you over those feelings of being a bad dog :-)
Good luck
at the dentist. You should eat more crunchy dog biscuits for healthy teeth and gums! It
works for me. Me fur's standing on end in anticipation for the resurrection! I know it will worth
the wait so that's a help. Thanks for the points. I'll go curl up by the a/c and wait until the Master comes.
WOOF!
Revelations
Some of what you are curious about will be revealed in Episode 16, Yogi. I'm going to get to work on finishing that today. I'm not going to give any spoilers... but I think certain 'appetites' will be satisfied
Trilli babe, theories a go go xx
Hi Trilli babe, love your theories, they are very thought provoking
Your Theories impressed Mike too with the look of it. All 'might' be revealed in 16 WOW

Angel babe xxxxx
I do try :-)
I aim to please but I am no where near as creative as Mike
The Voice
Mike Bennett, I really have to say that I love the story. I have listened to it again, all the way through 15 while I am patiently awaiting the next installment. There is something about your voice, and the way you give life to all the characters voices with the changes in pitch and tone and accent. It reminds me of listening to radio stories or stories on record, as we kids used to do when I was growing up. Keep up the excellent work. And of course, curious as we all are, we're all very patiently waiting.
I gave the Underwood and Flinch podcast suggestion to a work colleague today. I'll have to ask him what he thinks when I see him come Monday.
Oh, and nice theories Trillianne. I have this picture in my mind of Underwood as a consummate romantic with the ladies or maybe one lady in particular. I am so hoping that he isn't totally asexual when we do finally meet him.
Theories
Thanks all for the above. Theories are always enjoyable for people other than me to read because anything is possible (within obvious limitations). However, enjoyable as they are, I try to avoid them because if one day someone comes up with the same story as me (which, in a finite plot realm, is probable) and writes that idea here, it might compromise me legally. The person may say I 'stole' the idea from them, even though Underwood and Flinch is completed in its first draft. I could prove the claim as being false, but it would tedious and unpleasant. So if possible, I would prefer it if story theories were emailed from listener to listener using the email contact form on the site. Sorry to be a party-pooper, but it's what my legal acquaintance advises ;-)
Will do from now on Mike
Sorry for causing you any problems on this, I won't post any more here and ask here if any other fans are interested in my theories to ask me.
I would never want to put you in any position of legal awkwardness and didn't realise it would do, I also would never think you had stolen any of my ideas if they were the same. We were only posting them to keep the blood of the site going and talk about thing in the pending break.
Really Really sorry Mike
Hope this mummy Vampess is forgiven
Trillianne
Nothing to forgive
There's nothing to forgive, Trillianne :-) I know there's nothing here other than good-natured specualtion and banter, but as I say above, it's just a legal thing. Have some Vampire Points to make you feel better :-)
Thank you Mike
Thank you Mike. Mummy Vampess is smiling again
Oops...
Me too; sorry Mike.
No Probs.
No problem, Yogi. Here, have some Vampire Points for being so thoughtful :-)
Thank you for that.
That was a surprise.
I was just wondering about the email I just got about the points.
Thanks so much.
