Ahh.. So David is Flinch. I don't know where this is going.. But i like it! Pretty intense towards the ending :D

Curious..

Brian's picture

By the way Mike...I'm Curious... do you have a personal description of David "Flinch"? I'm guessing a thin man with dark brown hair wearing a brown suit.. i dont know why : )

Sounds like Dr Who

Mike's picture

That sounds like David Tennant's Dr Who :-)

I'll be giving David's appearance away a little at a time. But for now, I can tell you he's medium (athletic) build, short dark hair, wears jeans, suit jacket, t-shirt.

Ah.. I was kinda almost there :) Thanks anyways for the description :)

Good drunk person impression, that!

So, there WAS more to David than meets the eye... Looking forward to see what he's so scared of! Be interesting to see how it all ties up. Good stuff, Mike.

"I miss when I'm pissed, ya see." Don't we all, David.

Great Episode

Another great episode Mike.  I was right with my theory of who David was.  It didnt happen exactly like I thought.  I didnt figure in the brother I thought that maybe the original Flinch was still around and had just died or was dieing.

One thing I think will be very interesting to see how it turns out, is the fact that David doesnt want to go.  He knows what he must do but he doesnt want to at all.  He obviously doesnt have the same zeal for his career that his father did.  There are so many possiblities for how this could turn out.  David could change his mind, by some sort of genetic disposition for death and everything else that goes with serving a vampire, which is obviously in his family, manifesting itself and David could turn out to be the best companion/servant Underwood ever had.  Or Davids present feelings could be reinforced and strengthened once he meets his master, and David could try to kill Underwood.  Or it could be something totally different.  There are so many possibilities.  I can't wait to see how it all turns out!!

Speaking of waiting.  That is very good of you Mike to take time from work and actually lose money just to present your story to us sooner.  You are truely a great man Mike, a little sick, slightly twisted, a fantastic story teller, and generous definately some fine qualities.

Thank you for letting us know of a way that we can repay you.  Although I am not a member of Itunes, I will set up an account just to do what I can to let people know about Mike Bennett.  By doing that I am not only repaying my debt to you Mike, but also I am doing a good deed for all mankind.

Thanks Sam

... There are indeed many possibilities, but how things turn out, only I know ;-)

My thanks to you for setting up with iTunes. I think once you have the program you'll find it very useful; it's certainly the best tool for finding and updating podcasts that I know of. Though saying that, we still don't have Zune in Ireland, so I don't yet know much about the hot new competitor.

Oh, and before I go, let me just say that if you think there are many story outcome possibilities now, wait till you hear Episode 4 Laughing

"Oh, and before I go, let me just say that if you think there are many story outcome possibilities now, wait till you hear Episode 4 Laughing"

Well hurry up and release it so I can :)

Seriously though when do you think you will be releasing episode 4?  Since you are taking time off of work will you be releasing the next couple/few episodes sooner than the time between the previous episodes?  I can hardley wait.  I am very anxious to hear how the meeting between David and Underwood turns out.  That is assuming that it does.  I am also wondering if Underwood has awaking yet.  Because that could make a big difference to how  their first meeting goes.  If Underwood is awake and knows that David has tried to avoid his responsibility to him.  He could be pretty upset and disapointed since Davids father had so much zeal for his duties and David hates the idea of serving Underwood.  If Underwood is still asleep then he would have no idea of Davids feelings, but would expect them to be the same as his fathers.  So he could be suprised when he learns the truth.

Yea you can tell I'm hooked and spend a lot of time thinking about the story :) I love it!

Thanks Mike

Bennett!

David Flinch! Now we're getting somewhere. I think we are all in for a treat. I sure hope Ol' Dave keeps hitting the bottle 'cause I dig your pissed voice. I'm looking forward to reuniting with Lord Underwood!

Just a Thank You

Mike, I beleive you are getting better and better! I spend a lot of lonley time at my computer making things look as pretty as they are not in real life, and your stories are great company. I've listened to all your work at least twice. Really good work! You really know how to paint a picture with words. As for remuneration... I am not complaining about getting all this for free but when the time comes, I know I will not mind paying for it. For the moment though, I have no idea what the tax laws are in the UK but, I sure hope you plan on deducting your holidays in Spain as research expense. All the best! ¡Muchas gracias!

Paco

Hi Paco

Mike's picture

Really, don't think about remuneration - just knowing that you are enjoying the stories is payment enough for me.

Oh, but one day, before the year is out, I hope to release a book through Amazon (they do a print-on-demand service) and if you buy a copy, I'd be happy to take that as payment in full :-)

In Amazon

I promise to be one of the first to get the book Mike! It will be a pleasure. You definitely have the talent to be one of the best writers of the horror genre. You are Lovecraft with that particular humor of yours which in my oppinion makes your stories more accessible and, it seems to make the horror even more... well... horrific. Man, I can't wait for the following episodes of U&F! All the best!

Great episode!

Why yes, now that I've seen one I do agree it's crazy. This must be a UK thing, right? I feel so uninformed.
