Mike, you have me jonesing waiting for episode 6!

I listen to alot of podcasts (I am a truck driver and have a lot of time to <ahem> kill) and consider myself a fair judge of podcasts. I just discovered U&F on 1march and I am dead (ahem) serious when I say that U&F is among the elite that I have listened to. The real over-the-top component of your podcast is the obvious fun it appears you are having when you are recording. The atmosphere you create in each of the episodes is as superb as the quality of the text, and your voice acting is flawless. Having said all that, stop checking out your fan mail and

I've got my fix! Now gotta go listen to it. Before I go, Mike, wanted to commend you on the foresight to do the thingamajig text that I see on my Ipod Touch. I don't know if it is visible on a regular Ipod (ie, nano, etc) but i think it is pretty friggin cool; i haven't seen another podcast yet that has this feature/ability incorporated. Is it just for the Ipod Touch/Iphone?

Anyways, have a scotch and rocks, prop your feet up for 5 minutes, then ... BREAKTIME IS OVER! Get writing!!

Bon apetit, sir. By the way, I don't have an iPod touch, so I don't know which viewable text you mean. Is it the notes and picture thing? I have a Nano, and I can see the notes and pic etc if I click the centre wheel. I'm taking tomorrow off the project; I have to go to work and then come home and vacuum this floor before it gets up and walks out in disgust.

I don't know if it's just me, but I think I'm gonna miss our loyal Arthur Flinch. In only two episodes, I've become quite a fan of the character. And your voice characterization of him was outstanding. Any chance of him in future episodes, maybe as the good Lord Underwood reminisces on times past?

First of all... thanks Mike! Just wanted to tell you that the "coagulated in the isle" line is amazing and so much your style. Your solution to the aural ambiance of the flashback to the shooting scene was right on. That's it for now ;-D As for 7, don't rush it... polish it.

I've been curious about something. Do you find it hard to come up with multiple female voices for these stories? It would seem to be a difficult task. Perhaps that is why you went with the German broad, eh?

I will get ep 7 out as soon as possible but not until it's as good as it can be. As for the female voices, I have difficulty coming up with all the voices all the time, but women are harder. I remember a scene in One Among the Sleepless when Lucy and Sally were talking together and that was tough because they had pretty much the same voice, which is fine when they're not in the same scene together but a real challenge when they are. And talking of challenges, when U&F really gets into its stride, there are going to be more Spanish characters - male and female - and that's going to be a big (scary) challenge and a half. Aaaarg!

I just loved how you worked that out. Brilliant! It was incredibly visual for me. I was listening to it while running and it was so vivid that I was seeing the scene in my mind instead of my immediate surroundings for a while. THAT's effective writing, my friend!

I wouldn't like to be a relation of Arthur Flinch...I can't even kill an insect without feeling guilty! So killing for a vampire would not be my thing!

As for your husband's website you can't add it to your workspace, it is for tracking your activity on this site only.

But you can click on My Coffin, then edit, Member Information, and add the site address there.

I had a look at the site, it looks great so far.
