A lot of people keep talking about how great you are at reading, your characters voices etc.. Which you are totally awesome at. Maybe you could be a voice actor and also do the reading for audio books (Until you get rich off your books) You definately have the talent for it. It would probably give you more free time for writing than your current job. It may not matter though, as soon as you get you book to a publisher that knows what a great book is, you will be making plenty of money. If you follow through with your plan you mentioned before, I bet with in one year Underwood and Flinch will be making you rich.

Nice job on the Spanish voices. I know Spanish is not an easy language for English speakers; and what you did is harder still. You got the English accent of a Spanish speaker to be very believable. I can just imagine the amount of work that goes into these recordings of yours! Excellent job Mike! Gracias y hasta pronto.

Yep, this episode was deliciously juicy and full of great revelations that I feel are just around the corner. I am salivating!
Dream?
Was it just dream it or something? Wasn't there some sort of new point thing set up on this site? I thought I read a post by Jason that announced the new point system and he said that he would let Mike have the honors of explaining it. I even saw points written at the bottom of peoples posts. Something like "Points = 0" and on one of my posts it said "Points = 1". I was assuming we were getting points (other than V Points) for our posts. I checked back and I see nothing at all about it. So what is going on, was that stuff really there? Or did I unknowingly fall asleep at the computer and dream it all? God I hope not, that could mean all kinds of possibly bad things. I would be forced to question all of my recent memories, rather they were real or not.

It was a dream: I asked Jason if we could develop a system like Facebook's 'like' or Digg's 'digg' so people could say they liked a posting that someone had made without needing to write a comment. Drupal - the system that site is built on, only offers this type of function as a points system and has a 'score', whereby a post gets a score. We ultimately felt that this wasn't what we wanted for the site so we dropped it. We're always trying out new functions for U&F.com; sometimes they work out, sometimes they don't. This one didn't.

Hi Uncle Velvet, my hair now is blonde streaks (boring I know, but watch this space) My favourite HoM's is of course, 'Salvation' I adore the story and listen to it over and over. What is your favourite one? What did you think of OatS, I loved that one too. Who do you think 'the one' is or could be? Do think there will be a sequel? I hope so, but where could it go??

This time is very different, when I for the first time I heard the opening of this podcast with Farid Farjad's music I felt a chill in my bones, see I am a Iranian American living in LA so I have big ties with my roots and its music, Farid Farjad has a outstanding collection of the best of over 60 years persian music played with his magical violin that each of them brings back lots of beautiful memories and hearing on my favorite podcaster is the best combination I ever heard in a podcast.

Many thanks. It's great to hear from a fan of Farid Farjad and to learn what the song's title means in English (and it's strangely appropriate too). I discovered Mr Farjad while searching through hundreds of 'world music' artists. As soon as I heard Amad Amma I knew instantly that I'd found the perfect piece. It would be great if, as a result of this podcast, Mr Farjad picks up some of new fans around the world. He's certainly found a new one in me :-)

I am flatered by your response. If someone with absolutely no background in this kind of music can make a bond with it, that person should have a very strong, open and broad sense of art. Although music is universel but you have to have an open heart for it. For the record the exact meaning of the title is "she came(returned) but..." and basicaly talks about a lover that came back but you could feel the fire of the love is not in her anymore.

After hearing it on Underwood and Flinch I thought it was awesome, it has sort of an eerie feel to it, that I love.. Anyway I looked into more of his music. It is very good. I plan to buy a CD soon.

It's quite possible I may one day take you up on that offer; Underwood has been around for a very long time and for him to have been in Persia at some time in the past is highly likely. The nice thing about a character like Underwood is that he has such a long and varied back-catalogue of adventures. So whatever the outcome of U&F (1), should there be a call for a sequel / prequel, there are literally hundreds of possibilities
