And so, we moved house from Ireland to England. We got all our stuff shipped over from two moves (one from Ireland and another from the sale of the Spanish house) and then realised we had too much. We got rid of tons of it, and then had room for some furniture. We bought furniture and filled it with the remaining stuff and / or sat on it.

My wife got a job.

I made an office space to write in and started writing. I got a job. BT finally connected our internet service. I edited what I'd been writing. I recorded it at the weekend. I edited the audio on Monday, and hey presto - here's U&F 36! Smile

With Underwood's origin tale told, we return to the present day and some of the other characters in the story. At La Reina de Corazones, Keith has problems explaining himself to Melanie, while in Malaga, Lydia has an appointment to see an old friend.

Look who it is! Jon Cape has rendered a super image of everyone's favourite midshipman and vampire sidekick, Matthias Flinch. Lovely job, Jon.

Episode 34 Update

in

U&F 34 update. I finally got all the epic sixty minutes written and recorded, and was on course for posting it this evening. Then Audacity (my recording software) blew 8 minutes of random silence into it (no idea why). I can't re-record those 8 minutes, because the acting requires screaming, and my wife is trying to sleep. Then, from tomorrow, I'm away for the next 5 days visiting my parents in England (and no, they don't have computers or Internet access ;-) And so, it is with regret, that I tell you that work can't continue on Episode 34 until Sunday.

I worked 12 hours today to get it out to you tonight. A technical issue beyond my control (or my understanding, for that matter) made it impossible. I will repair it, and I will deliver. I considered halving the episode, but there's no suitable moment to halve it. It's designed to be the length it is, and to halve it, is to murder it.

Be patient, vamps. The moon will rise again over Underwood and Flinch ... Just not this week.
